Why should I choose a villa and not a hotel?

Hotels close to Disney can be quite expensive compare the cost of squeezing yourself and your family in one or two rooms add to that the time and expense of feeding and entertaining everyone after a long day at the parks.

With a villa you will have the luxury of an individual lounge dining area, a complete fully fitted kitchen, laundry room, private en suite bathrooms, and of course your own private pool, Jacuzzi, and covered terrace.

You will probably find that 10 people can stay in a villa for the price of one in some hotels.

 

 

Why our villa?

Our villa is new and enjoys a fantastic location on the best resort in the area. Not only can you enjoy the unrivalled facilities of Windsor Hills, Arran Villa is our personal home, not part of a rental business it has been furnished without compromise far beyond the required standards asked for by Florida management companies.

 

Is there plenty for the children to do?

With an massive 52” widescreen HD TV and DVD/ CD in the main lounge together with a TV in each bedroom (TV/ DVD in the twin bedroom), add the 80 or so cable channels available, the kids can watch what they want when they want.

The heated south facing pool and Jacuzzi and covered sun deck can be lit up at night to give the perfect end to the day or dining al fresco while the kids enjoy the pool.

A 5 minute walk takes you to the clubhouse where you can enjoy pool tables, table tennis, basketball, tennis, arcade games, a play area, and your own 58 seat cinema safe in the knowledge that due to the 24 hour security the gate children are as safe as can be.

 

How far are the shops and restaurants?

Just a 2-minute drive there is a great selection of shops restaurants and supermarkets a few minutes further on the 192 are hundreds of shops and restaurants catering for every taste. Click here to see a map of the area.

 

What should I pack?

Not a lot! Most regulars travel from the UK lightly loaded with the intention of filling their suitcases with all the amazing bargains to be had. Remember you are staying in a very fully equipped luxury villa. All towels and linen are provided and the laundry room with washer and dryer means you do not need as many clothes as you would if you stayed in a hotel.  But just to be on the safe side pack some tea bags. 

 

What amenities are provided?

This holiday is based upon a self- catering style where you will need to supply your own detergent/washing powder etc. There is a limited amount of toilet paper, soap, bin bags etc., which are supplied but clients are advised there is a sundry available onsite at clubhouse.

How much does the pool heat cost?

We charge £80 ($150) per week. Remember you will only require heat in the winter months. If requested pool heat will be switched on prior to your arrival ensuring the pool is ready for your use as soon as arrive.

 

When do you advise pool heat?

As a rough guide, pool heat is generally recommended between October and April.

 

What about child safety around the pool?

We have installed alarms on all the doors leading to the pool area which activate when the door is opened alerting parents that a child might have wandered out unattended. There is also a separate screen which can be installed in between the patio and pool area for extra piece of mind. The screen cannot be seen in any of the pictures but can be located in the games room and installed in minutes.

 

What about internet access?

We offer free high speed wireless internet connection as well as free local, long distant and international calls.

 

How Do I use The Resort Amenities?

You may gain access to all of the resort facilities at Windsor Hills by obtaining a guest proxy card at the Welcome Centre located in the Clubhouse. Each card requires a $6 deposit (refundable upon return) and will be good for the duration of your stay. Use of all community facilities are subject to community guidelines which will be provided to you upon receiving your proxy card.

 

Are there any other extras?

Unlike many other villas we provide an electric BBQ and everything else you may need for a perfect holiday completely free of charge. Please ensure that the BBQ is cleaned after use as a charge may be levied otherwise.

 

What about flights?

 There are two types of flights to Florida scheduled or chartered 

Scheduled

Scheduled airlines will mostly fly you direct into Orlando international. Those that fly indirect are usually cheaper but the stopovers should be checked with care as the total journey time can be extremely arduous.

It may be worth considering to pay that little bit extra for a direct flight or it is possible that charter flights would be cheaper still (see below). Scheduled airlines can be arranged for any number of days (11, 12, 13, 14, 15 etc.) and with many airlines including:-

Chartered

Charter flights fly direct into Sandford airport and are usually cheaper than scheduled flights.

Upgraded seats can be purchased on some airlines and apart from the comfort factor they can compare very famously with the price paid for an economy seat on a scheduled flight

Charter flights are usually only available for periods of 7,14,21,days etc. and can be arranged amongst others:-

What about car hire?

We always recommend hiring a car in the USA and most people would consider it essential to get the most out of your Orlando vacation.

The main car hire rental companies have offices in all the major airports making it easy to collect your car at the start of your holiday and drop off again on your way home.  Our advice would be to arrange your car hire before arriving, as it is much cheaper this way. US Car Hire based in the UK can provide you with a very competitive quote.
